Over the course of six years, I flew hundreds of thousands of miles on business trips. Along the way I was able to become part of the traveling elite with perks and benefits thrown at me from every direction. It wasn’t until I stopped traveling for work that I began to appreciate some of the finer things a high status level brought. Better seats, upgrades, free baggage and more miles were just some of them.
